Why Social Naturism/Nudism?

Having been a social naturist now for most of my life, I can attest to the stress relief, relaxation, and positive body image (I'm still working on this one) afforded by this lifestyle.  As a child, (before dirt), I received many whippings for coming home from playing without any clothes. Having grown up in Texas, I saw no need for the hot clothes. My mother would send me out to find them nearly every day in the summer. She was very puritan in her ideas.
Even though being a Naturist is different for each individual, Nudism is not about religion, nor about sex, but rather a way of living. It is about body acceptance. True Naturist are not "swingers", but people from all walks of life. They are just like you or me, and may be your doctor, nurse, Minister, or next door neighbor. We have met many clergy at nudist resorts.
I did not realize how uncomfortable clothes were until I became a nudist. To swim naked is the only way to go! I have heard it said that upon entering a Nudist or Naturist location, you will experience a new-found freedom and your daily stress will fade away! You will find yourself among the friendliest and most understanding people in the world. You are respected and treated for who you are and not for what you are wearing, or for what you are perceived to have in material goods. You literally have nothing to hide! It may be a little hard to remove your clothes the first time, but soon you realize no one cares that your body is not perfect or that you have physical handicaps. No one gawks at you and very soon you will be making new friends. There are a lot of places on the Internet to find information about social Naturism.
