Philosophical counselling (and Philosophical Practice, Philosophical Consultation, Non-RET Philosophical Therapy, Philosophical Midwifery ... ) is an activity in which a client meets one-on-one with a philosophically trained individual (who is _not_ a therapist) to apply philosophical methods to the client’s questions and problems. There are variations on this theme.

I know that Philosophical Counseling has raised some concerns within the professional mental-health community, and I am trying to find someone in the Southern California area (we have no money) who might be willing to articulate some representative concerns at the session as either a presenter, panelist or audience member.
