Also, hear about hearing Mozart, Handel and Vivaldi as a soundtrack to the growing success of your life. Coming later: Harry's new success-boosting audio tape concepts. Self-help will take a quantum leap, for you!
In the sixties, Frank Zappa said, on the cover of a Mothers of Invention album, "Drop out of High School, go to the Public Library, and educate yourself." I don't recommend dropping out, necessarily, but you owe it to yourself to befriend a Librarian and plug into lifelong learning!
Question for the day: Is it better to become a speed reader, and experience more books, or to be an intentional subvocalizer, who savors the unspoken "sounds" of the prose?
Harry wrote the following in 1996, and had some e-mails suggesting it sounded very weird. However, recently there have been news items about classical musicians who experience the identical phenomenon: "Harry closes his eyes and sees blackness, almost always, maybe random nerve flashes. Yet 'in his mind's ear,' he hears fully textured music as if wearing headphone." What do YOU think, weird or wonderful?
Harry is also extremely suggestible, so that often one word will "link" to a song title, and that's what he "hears" all day. Is Harry big-time weird? Or is this just normal, but nobody else is foolish enough to admit it? Any theories out there? You can answer by e-mail by clicking on the address below.
