Soya

Soya is one nutritious bean! Soya beans are a rich source of isoflavones.
"Genistein" is an isoflavone genetically similar to the human hormone "Estrogen".
"Genistein" is a "phytoestrogen" which means it is a plant substance similar to estrogen.
Soya foods provide 30 to 40 mgs of isoflavones per serving.
Apples, Barley, Corn, Carrots, and Oats are among a large number of plants that contain phytoestrogens.

There are many soya products:
Plain soya beans, miso, soya cheese & flour, soya protein concentrate, soya yogurt, soya nut butter & sauce, soya nuts & sprouts, tofu products, tempeh & soya beverages.

Soya milk has a creamy texture & mild sweetness. Flavours include vanilla, chocolate, and coconut.
Soya milk is a good source of protein, B vitamins, and iron. It is also low in saturated fat and no cholesterol, lactose and dairy free.
Isoflavones may help in the prevention of cancer and heart disease. They are being tested to determine their effect on osteoporosis and symptoms of menopause.

Asian countries which eat a high dose of soya foods have lower rates of colon, prostate and breast cancer.
Their diet is low in fat and high in fiber!
