Membership: How You Can Help

Please help in the fight against HIV/AIDS in the African-American community.

Why You Should Help . . .

HIV/AIDS has disproportionately affected the African-American community. AIDS is the number one killer of African-American men and women ages 25 to 44. As of December 1996, Black women made up 84% of the total AIDS cases among women in the Washington metropolitan area and Black men with AIDS equaled 58% of the total AIDS cases.

Why You Should Help Friends For Friends . . .

Friends For Friends is dedicated to reducing the rate of HIV infection among African-Americans in the Washington metropolitan area. Our program's and goals are developed to address the specific needs and concerns of African-Americans.
