Another Day

My simple wish was to die.
To leave them alone and let them cry
But when I closed my eyes
I could see A world lived without me
A single tear A hurting soul
I left them in a world unwhole
I thought they didn't need me But was i wrong
When I left they were no longer strong
When I closed my eyes I saw the future ahead
I thought it would be better but I was wrong instead
But I got a second chance you see
When I opened my eyes the world was there staring at me
I knew it was hard and it would be rough.
I also knew I had unconditional love
The family I thought hated me
the friends I thought didn't care
Later told me they didn't know how to live
if I were not there
You see when I closed my eyes
I saw hell, no fire, just pain
and at that moment I knew it was my soul Satan wouldn't gain
Now I have one simple wish
to fulfill my life to the fullest
and be thankful each day that God showed
me that I am worth living another day
