Freelance Writer/Workshop Leader  1983 - Present

Compose, proof read, edit & revise for publication.  Design and create illustrations for articles and also provide professional photographs when needed.  I have published a how-to book on spinning yarn with the spindles of the world (published by Kokovoko Press), and a memoir published with iUniverse.com. Have written a variety of articles on gardening, food, fiber arts, crafts, and self-help topics.  I self-publish patterns for handspun yarn in a subscription-based newsletter entitled SpinCraft Pattern Newsletter. Am regularly invited to lead workshops in handspinning and self-help topics including Dances of Universal Peace.

Web Design: 1990 – Present

Web page design and composition for numerous customers including flash applications, php database programming with mysql database, html, Image Composer and Front Page. 

salmonidaho.com: Conceived of idea for community web site for a small town in central Idaho.  Found a partner for the project and launched a site which was immediately successful in the community.  After demonstrating success of the first community contracted for creation of php mysql database backend and began the process of repeating successful venture through other towns. Currently own over 80 towns in 10 states.

spindling.com: Conceive, plan and design web site for my knitting pattern business.  Mapped site, created graphics, composed text, managed links inserted and managed professional shopping cart system.

Financial Management: Jan 2001 to June 2003

Acted as manager for 14 Million dollar investment fund. Kept books in extensive Access and Excel datasheets. As complexity of fund grew expanded Excel spreadsheet into multipage, multi-functional system for tracking investment incomes and reconciliation. Bought and sold large mutual funds, managed mortgage portfolio, completed taxes, customer support.
