Well, I just added a photo album to my page (it's down at the bottom). I decided that Cheesy (AKA "The Cheese") deserved some world wide recognition, so here he is in all his glory.

In other groovy news, Patrick, mi esposo, has been accepted to the Americorp program in the Gray Harbor area of Washington. He'll be working on emergency management stuff.

After a glorious party-filled weekend, I should probably start packing. Following Voyagers (young and old adult UUs) on Thursday, completed with a late night dancing excursion to the Art Bar, my husband and I spend a wonderful Friday night in the glorious city of Charleston. Our favorite spot: The Library Restaurant and Rooftop Bar. Pack, Rami, Pack!

The packing has commenced! However, I think I've just succeeded at making the house look like a hurricane hit. There's no rhyme or reason to my strategy yet. In other fun-filled, frolicksome news, Patrick and I went with his sister to Peachtree Rock Preserve to hike on Sunday -- great place very close to Columbia! Last night of course we hit Drinking Liberally at the Flying Saucer. Fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately, I did not drink liberally enough to get out of packing today, so carry on I shall.

I am in Nebraska - finally! It only took 1300 miles to get here and several very harrowing moments on the freeways between Ashville, NC and Knoxville, TN (just a plain ole' scary road) and between Knoxville and Nashville (blinding torrential downpour). Alas and alack, my sweet pea and Cheesy Pea have gone on ahead with my dad while Mom and I remain here to visit with Grandma a few days in good old Rising City. Today we went to the most excellent pizza place Valentios for lunch. Tomorrow we're off to the horse races.

After weeks and weeks with no contact with the outside world ... okay, well, I did make the library my third stop after arriving in Ellensburg -- right after the auditor's office for car registration and the DMV for a driver's license -- so I could at least use the computers at the public library here ..., I FINALLY have a computer again, and cable, and a cell phone, and a gym to use, and, well, that's about it. What more could a girl ask for? Hmmmm...
