| Episode 3: Sakura's Rival: In this episode Sakura meets Sayoran Li. At the beginning Sakura's day starts off as it always does (rather hectically), but when she finally gets to class and settled in a new student is introduced. Almost immediatly these this new student shows signs of greatly disliking Sakura but still sits right behind her. Tomoyo obviously finds this amusing. However as the day wears on Sayoran finally confronts Sakura violently revealing he knows all about the Clow Cards and plans on taking the cards away from her (he uses his magical board thingie to spot that she has them) fortunatly Sakura's brother comes to the rescue along with Yukito (who seems to scare Li), Li backs off and leaves Sakura alone for a while. That day and night Sakura and Tomoyo notice how strange the lightning is behaving (its actually chasing people around), so Sakura immeditaly feels a Clow Card is to blame. Soon Sakura goes out to catch it wearing one of Tomoyo's wonderful pink kitty cat costumes (which of course is made of rubber to resist the lightning) (Kero also sports a matching bell and collar). As Sakura makes ready to catch the Thunder Card Sayoran appears and pretty much tells Sakura to get out of his way (because he thinks she's a little fool). He then forces the Card to reveal its true from (it looks like a large lion that is white and covered in electricity). Sakura feeling rather peeved is instantly attacked by it and Sayoran reveals some of his own magic by knocking it onto the ground. He then tells Sakura to use a card (the Shadow), she uses the Shadow card effectivly trapping the Thunder Card. She then seals it and it becomes her card. Sayoran still is not willing to admit Sakura did a good job and leaves rudely with a few words of parting. Episode 4: Doubled Edged Sword: Sayoran's cruel comments are finally getting Sakura down in the dumps. On top of that one of her friends is having trouble studying at school so in order to help they all plan to go to Sakura's house. On the way home Sakura spots an old antique store that she has always been longing to visit. When they go in they instantly spot some beautiful broaches that they wish to buy. Her friend (I think her name is Rita? or something like that), buys one with a strange sword on it. However this new broach is possessed by the spirit of the Sword Card which instantly shows its ability to take over its host and force them to attack their friends. Rita attacks Sakura and Tomoyo with the sword in hand and acts like a zombie while doing it. Sakura is unable to react though because she does not wish to harm her friend. Sayoran hows up to help however but is just as stumped as how to get to the Card without hurting Rita as Sakura is. Finally Sakura calls up the Illusion Card to show Rita a vision of her teacher (who she happens to be afraid of, or in love with?) and the Card is forced from her body. Sakura then seals it and recieves the Sword Card. At school the next day Sakura gives Rita her pen in order to make up for the old pen that was lost (and for good luck :) Episode 5: Time and Again |
