| He was halfway home when something drew him back. He couldn't leave her there. He didn't want to leave her alone tonight. He needed her and she needed him. He was sure of that. He turned his vehicle around and made his way back toward her place. He threw all caution to the wind as his foot literally drove through the floor of his rental vehicle. After pulling himself together from his abrupt stop in the drive, he rushed to the door. He rang the doorbell hoping it would be her face he would be seeing on the other side. Kelly groggily opened the door. She had just barely gotten in herself that particular evening."Hello." "Hello. Simone wouldn't happen to be up still would she?" "I think I heard her stumbling around. You must be Kevin." "Sorry about that. And you would be?" "I'm Kelly. Her roomate. Let me show you where her room is,"Kelly offered. "Thank you,"he said as he followed her through the maze of halls in their home. "This would be hers. Simone!"Kelly knocked. "What?"she yelled through the door. "You have a guest." "At this time of night? It's not,"she stopped mid sentence as she opened the door to find Kevin there. "What are you doing here?" "I couldn't leave you tonight Simone. I needed to ask you something. Do you love him?" "Love who?" "Whoever it is that you're hiding from me." "You've known me all of a week maybe and you expect me to answer that question?" "If you love him, it shouldn't be such a hard question to answer." "I think there's something you need to know Kevin." "What?" "The other man. You know him,"she informed him as she cinched the waist of her dusty rose floor length satin robe. "And this should matter because?"He inquired taking her hand. "Because he's closer than you think." "Simone, I "It's Alex,"she interrupted his sentence. He released her hand. "I thought that might dim the fire. If I let you into my life right now would that honestly be fair to you?" |

| "It doesn't really matter." "Can you honestly tell me it wouldn't bother you to stand by and look at us together without it breaking your heart?"
