Learning to braid is fairly simple. The most complications come when learning how to hold the hair. For some who haven't used their fingers this way it can be difficult. What I Suggest is first practicing with yarn because it is easy to grasp. Study the picture below to learn how to hold the hair. Practice differant positions for holding the hair between your fingers. After you feel comfortable holding the hair, study the example to the right:

Take the #1 hair grouping (this should be in your left hand) moving the hair with your fingers cross it over #2. Then take #3 hair group across #1. It is as simple as this drawing! Repeat- Take #2 across #3 and then take #1 across #2. Continue doing this untill you reach the desired length of your braid.
