The Fool _______________________________________________________ FOOL
OK, so here's my card. I know, a little strange but I just went with it. I obviously distorted a face to show the delirious side of the Fool, I also liked the way the mouth curved up into a huge grin to show the Fool's extreme excitement and happiness. As for the eight ball on the forehead (I know, a little too modern) it is supposed to show the mind of the Fool as being without judgment. The Fool is supposed to be the beginning of a journey so therefore his direction would be random like asking answers from an eight ball. The more I'm describing this card the more it is sounding silly. Oh well. Now the eyes are covered with white lilies which symbolize innocence and purity. I put these as eyes because of the old saying "eyes are the windows to the soul", and to look at his eyes you would see the Fool to be innocent and new. So the last little bit I'd like to add is the choice of rainbow colors bordering the card. This was done to represent a rainbow, obviously, which I believe symbolizes unknown realms. The unknown realms being of course the Fool's future journey. So there you have it folks, a silly little card done on a whim. Hope you enjoy. Sorry everyone, I've been nicely reminded to add some more details to the construction of this card. The photo of the face is actually my youngest brother which I distorted using a freeware program called "VicMan's Photo Editor". I then copied and pasted the eight-ball and lilies from a free graphics site. The rainbow coloring I digitally painted in myself. Using my brother's photo has absolutely no meaning to this card as the entire thing was done in a moment of inspiration. I feel after viewing all the other member's cards I should have put more thought and care into it, but like when I read cards I go with my gut! Oh yes and the meaning of the fool being "manic, delirious" I got from my Rider deck booklet. The other symbolism I learned from a website which I'm sorry I don't remember. I hope I have provided enough information. Thanks for allowing me to take part in this fun exercise. I only wish I had a printer/scanner so I could be more creative.
