PAGE OF PENTACLES by Sue
Lotus Tarot Collaborative Tarot Project: The Court Cards

The Page of Pentacles is about being immersed in studies. The page is an apprentice who has stopped on his way to his master/teacher to ponder the world within the disc. He's an earthly, practical fellow ( or maiden) but not above a bit of daydreaming. Pages can represent adolescents who are willing to take risks. They are venturing out into life but still have a lot to learn.

The page is usually a message bearer and in a reading can indicate the beginning of a new venture, new investment, dreaming about the future. Eden Gray writes that the card means "respect for learning and new ideas. A scholar. A typical introvert. Can also mean application; reflection. Good management, carefulness. The bringer of good news and messages about money."

For my drawing I used colored pencils on a grainy drawing paper. This is my very first Tarot card and I tried not to get too fussy. At first I made him barefoot, but then I added shoes to indicate that he's also serious and has a firm footing in the material world.
