IT'S IN THE FEATURED CARD

It's In The Cards!

The potential for disruption is symbolized by the inverted pentagram that connects the suit symbols in what can only be described as subjugation and adversity. The inverted pentagram does not obliterate the eagle, a symbol of ascent: ascent defined as both rising above and as a going back in time.

That is exactly what the 5-Disks/Coins/Pentacles across a wide range of decks can mean, a going back in time. Going back to carefully and critically examine what choice lead to this place, and why that choice was made. Only by a complete understanding of the rules of cause and effect can we begin to understand that the "critical situation" of this five (and other fives as well) is, in effect, a letting go off, a setting aside of, a destruction of, that which is no longer useful, helpful, or necessary.

The upper two suit markers contain the glyphs of Mercury/Taurus: a not altogether harmonious pairing, but one that can be, with judicious effort and patience, filled with portent. The portent of practical thinking and decisiveness.

As a Daily Card the questions the 5-Disks dusts off are: What am I holding on to long past its time to be set aside? How can I become cognizant of my subconscious decision making process? What can I do to become more aware of the long-lasting effects of even seemingly inconsequential choices and decision? How can I become more involved in my own life?
