In Memory of Emma

Dear Lord,

Please open your gates wide and call St Francis
To come escort my beloved companion Emma
to the Rainbow Bridge. Help her to find
my other beloved pets who have gone before her
so they may wait there for me together. You see, Lord, someone
poisoned my Emma and she has come to you many years before her time.

Bless the hands that sent her to you, for they did so
in love and compassion, to free Emma from pain and suffering
caused by the evil in Your world. Bless them for all they
did to try to save her, and thank you for allowing me to be with her.

Even though I did not have the many years her lifetime
should have been to prepare for her going,
help me to remember her and the details of her life
with the love she always showed everyone,
even at the end when she was suffering so.

Let her remember me as well, and please tell her that I will
always love her. When it's my time to pass over into
Your paradise, please allow Emma and all my other beloved pets
to accompany me across the Rainbow Bridge on the way Home.

Thank you, Lord, for the gift of Emma's love,
the laughter she gave me, and her companionship
for the time we had together, though too short.

I have every reason to believe that Emma was poisoned by someone I knew.
This person is also a batterer ..
