HOW HRITHIK HAS CHANGED HIMSELF!
Hrithik, one would imagine, must be a narcissist, to maintian that superb physique. Surprise, surprise. This hunk doesn't like himself and even finds fault with his looks. Tell that to the girls who adore him. There are few who know that beneath the surface of the all-purpose, multi-talented glamour-machine, there is hidden a shy and reserved young man who has his doubts, his fears and a sense of angst.
When Hrithik opens up to the subject of himself, he nonchalantly states that too much is being made of his looks. "I'm full of imperfections," he states without preamble. "Probably that's why I'm such a perfectionist. People say that I'm good-looking. I don't think so. I'm full of flaws.
The only thing I'm able to do better than others is to hide and camouflage my bad points and
project my good ones.On being prodded to elaborate, Hrithik observes: "I used to be a gawky child.I think everything is wrong with my appearance: my hair, my nose, my jaw, my body,
everything. If you see my photos of three years ago, my lower jaw used to thrust out, but without the aid of surgery, I pulled it back. I willed my appearance to change. And, it is possible.
If you will your mind, you can do anything. I think everybody is good-looking, but we don't know how to project the best of ourselves, or how to overcome our shortcomings."
"An actor is his own best product. He is out there to market his talent, his look, himself. So, it's important to keep an image and impression. It's got nothing to do with narcissism. I don't love myself. In fact, I hate everything about myself. But I can't project my insecurities and my beliefs to the outside world. That I do through the characters I portray in the films." I express my observation to him that he seems to be someone who has figured himself out for good. "On the contrary, I don't yet know what I'm all about. I think I've got dissociative tendencies, you know, multiple personality disorder (MPD).
I feel there are 25 personalities within me and none of them are connected." He says this with such seriousness and honesty, one wonders whether he is pulling a fast one, but it seems unlikely.
