SPCM'S HRM TRAINING CENTER |
The HRM Training Center is a four-storey building located at Malvar St., (formerly Tenessee) within the SPCM Compound. It is the seat of the Hotel and Restaurant Management Program. The center is divided into three major areas: the Coffee Shop which caters to the SPCM community and guests; the Function Rooms (2nd & 3rd floors) for special functions and gatherings; and the Guest Rooms for those requiring lodging or accomodation. |
This set-up was envisioned to provide venue for the pursuit of the Vision Mission of St. Paul College of Manila, hereby reaffirms the following: (1) to develop and maintain training program to meet the industry requirements for HRM graduates. (2) to facilitate inter-agency cooperation to pursue the thrust of sharing educational and technological expertise to the community and the less fortunate. (3) to provide services to the SPCM community. (4) to promote the sharing of technical resources in the industry. |
While academic training and development is the major thrust of the center, the financial viability during its oprational should be considered. Thus, the said Center is also open to the members of the St. Paul Community and sponsored friends who will require special catering functions with the approval of the President of the college. The coffee shop will be open for snacks and lunch reasonably priced consistent to the standard and quality of food service. This will also be the training ground for students on food service management specifically coffee shop operation. The function rooms will be used for special catering arrangements where students will be trained on different fine dining set-up and service/buffet set-up and service. |
The guest rooms will particularly be the venue for training students on rooms' division management. The facilities available in the training center maybe on a micro level but the training program to be implemented will surely provide maximum exposure to HRM students prior to their practicum. |
