Well as it now seems Seven Deadly Sins or 7DS as I called it is now officaly ending. Its been almost a year and a half since I first joined the Seven Deadly Sins server. It was the first server I ever joined to play the mod of Natural-Selection. I loved the game though I did not know what I was doing. I joined the aliens first and we were playing NS_mineshaft. I Did not know what I was doing but I saw the admins were present so I asked Hobo who apperently had admin if he payed for it. He told me no and that the server was right over his left shoulder. So I continued to play the game to learn the basics and really enjoyed it. I Do not know exactly where Yoshie one of my old gaming friends came in. He came in from a server called freaks unleashed and I got to know him somehow. I got to know all of the admins on the server the ones I could remember were..Hobo,Quickdraw,Randompattern,Godsmack,Spitfire,Retrobution. So as I got to know them I decided to make a small crappy webpage for them to showcase their stats and give them a forum which is the forum we have now just for you information. So my reward was Admin to the server yes in 3 days I got admin (god im good). Anyway it was a few weeks of gameplay before Hobo wanted to make a clan. Now the server was already called Seven Deadly Sins so we just went with the name 7DS. Eventually though the clan did not hold and it momentarly broke apart. I later choose to take the rank of Leader and took the clan for myself running it off Hobos server (still under hobos rule).
Now onetime I almost got taken off admin because I abused it. This is an exact copy of an email I got from hobo lol. Hi, Since most of you do not have experience at being an admin, I'll try to make something perfectly clear. Something that SHOULD be plain to see, but unfortunately, is not plain to most people. Being an admin is not something to wave around like a badge of honor. You get respect only after you earn it, admin or not, which is why I will not make a "rule" that admins must be "respected". So go earn that respect. You earn respect by fairly and evenly enforcing the rules, making gameplay interesting and fun, and being more strict with yourself than with the players. The very LAST thing you want is for people to think you have a double standard. It causes resentment and anger, and causes people to avoid the server. Who wants to play on a server where the admins are commonly referred to as "assholes"? Perusing the logs today, I found an interesting one. I asterisked out the Admin's name, although one or two of you might know who it is. If I see any more of this behavior, we will suddenly be short of admins. Also, if you want to argue amongst yourselves, do it in private. I had a tendency of being the best and the strongest etc call it an ego if you will. Gaming went on great we recruited many members like. Hitman,Trance,Melo,Fatalis,Spitfire,Spyder,Yoshie and Myself of course. We had lots of regulars and really active stats. Then we make this converstion to a Peice of Smoldering shit called Steam...Anyway. Hobo one day vanishes out of thin air the Server goes down and I dont hear from him for about a month. Pissed off my friend yoshie finds a Counter-Strike Warcraft 3 Exp Saved server called Seven Deadly Sins....And wouldent you know it? Theirs hobo! So Me being slightly pissed hold back all my anger to get admin to his server...With no immunity! (I was the lowest admin on the server...the clan leader??) Anyway it was about 2 weeks before 7DS became a Counter-Strike clan. We recruited lots of new members aside from the old skool ones. The new members were. Battle-bug, Disruptive,Zidewinder,Re1Master,Random-pattern,Voodoo and many many others that unfortunalty didnt stay with us for very long. Yoshie was in our clan as well he was my co-leader :D. We played counter-strike for what seemed months. The server was booming with activity and we were all happy having sceduled practices etc etc.. Then my friend Cobra joins for the Natural-Selection after I talk to him at school about it. He gets all hooked up on computer hardware and I introduce him to the game. Cobra Later Recruits Gruuunt who will later be a HUGE Stability grasp for the clans future (me not knowing it) He Offers a server for us and we all play on it...so so. Now our clan has 3 servers right were all good? Well after a week the Natural-Selection (hobos) server wasnt up and he did not really give a damn about the clan. So I made the choice of breaking apart from his servers and relying on Gruuunts. Zidwinder also donated us a somewhat P.O.S server but we all thank him for his contributions. Its about this time that Yoshie Leaves the clan for good apprently (Im still waiting for that bastard to come home) He starts his own clan called Gorge-Lovin. I have no status as to how the clan is doing at this moment and time. So with him gone many of our members from his side leave us leaving us in a temperary bind. Gigabite later donates us a server for Natural-Selection but quickly withdraws because Him and Battle-bug Could not get along. So one day me and gruuunt were talking on yahoo. Our new website as you all know is Phenomenal compared to anything I have ever built in my lifetime. We really owe alot to Gruuunt for his commitment on this guys without him this wouldent even be dreamable. I know I left alot of things out. And I realize this was all put quite in the nut shell. If You know I missed something tell me I can edit. So we leave 7DS now with memorys and start our new clan with hope. We got the goods people lets use em! So As my final post for this webpage I {7DS}Knives would like to thank everybody that made everything possible and you are all welcome to play with us (accept Kiddiegrinder and Spitfire/Spyder). | Date: Febuary, 27 2004 | Subject: Absolutly Huge Changes | Posted by: Knives | Knives has returned and after consiterable thinking and contemplation with gruuunt I have decited to take the clan with me leaving all of the members that quit gone. We will no longer be using Hobos Counter-strike server Nor will we be using Hobos Natural-Selection server. He really never cared nor did he give a damn. I resign as admin to both. Gruuunts Natural-Selection server will become the main server to the clan. Thank to him we have an excellent server up and seeing as him actually caring about the clan its the least we can do by offering our time on his fine server. I myself will be hosting a server as well I will be doing Natural-Selection but may change to counter-strike at a later date. You may see gruuunts server in the servers section hosted by serverspy. My server will be added when it is brought up. Recruitment will begin once again as well any member may recommend to us who should be recruited but only the following people may actually let them join. Knives,Gruuunt,Cobra,Yoshie. Since we are doing a massive change I will be redesigning (yet again) the mainpage probably hosted from my computer as well. As this being a fresh start we will be changing the name to the clan seeing that hobo was the one that created deadlysins in the firstplace. We are now cutting out strings once and for all from any outside forces that will have influcence over the clan. We thank hobo for what he has given us of course and he is welcome to play at our servers at anytime. Once I get my server going I will appoint admins if you think you got the stuff to share my power say so on the forum. If you have any suggestions or ideas for the website feel free to share those as well. Anybody that left us while I wasnt here is not permitted to rejoin us if your name is not listed here. Trance,Zidewinder,Fatalis,Melo. If you were at all associated with us on the original server a year ago feel free to join us. I will be taking suggestions for a clan name as well but I will be the one to decide it alone. As far as leadership for the new clan the admins have the power so they will run everything. There will be no ranks and because of this its going to be an invitational clan only you cannot join unless invited by the people previously listed. If you have any questions or comments you may email me or do so on the forum. We will be getting a new forum and possibly new webdomain. The members list has been updated showing the current members that we will be taking with us. I mean were a bunch of junkies that play on servers why do we need ranks? Just as long as you know who the leaders are why have a problem? So Im going to once and for all rid us of this confusion and make everything EQUAL! When you join your tag is now {7DS}Name{Game Abbriviation(s)}. For example if you play counter-strike it will be {7DS}Name{CS} or if you play Natural-Selection it will be {7DS}Name{NS} If you play both Choose one or the other or if you really like having a huge tag make it {7DS}Name{CS}{NS}. I however am of course the leader. "DONT FORGET THAT". |
| Date: January, 10 2004 | Subject: Huge changes | Posted by: Knives | Ok, This is the lowdown. After lots of thought have decited to split the clan per game. I have designated Gruuunt the new rank of Governor and Cobra the new rank of Lt.Governor of Natural-Selection. They are to write me a consitution of clan rules and ranks. I must see it and ok it. Gruuunt is and will be instated full power of our Natural-Selection section of the clan. He will choose every aspect of ranks and members. You may join both factions if you choose too but you will do so at the ranks of what they choose you. I still have full power over the entire clan. If the Natural-Selection section does not get members or doesnt function properly I will pull the plug. This in term will leave the clan at a weakend state I will not be permitting any recruiting and all practices are closed untill further notice. When I get this set up we will resume as usual more powerful and reluctant and before. All other clans will learn to crumble before our might as they see the awsome power,speed,skill,potential,and bliss that we will uphold to them. I may be letting some members go.. I realize that my past recruiting methods were wrong and have given the clan some 2nd hand members that we dont need. I will be designating a rank of Governor and Lt.Governor to CS players as well. But you must have full admin. The ranking system will change Please check the ranking section for updates. |
| Date: January, 3 2004 | Subject: Server/Recruitment | Posted by: Knives | The server is now using Cheating-death instead of Vac and soon it will be required to join the server. You need to download the beta from United Admins just follow the instructions its not very difficult. Recruitment is now OVER if we need to recruit I can only do so on an invitation basis. We only have so much room on the server and we cannot exceed that room. Im going to be dropping members that are inactive/not improving. Cal practice is Saturday (tomarrow) at 9 P.M Central! Only Cal members should show up but I may be picking a few more backups because we need 10 total. In the game of CAL its always 5vs5 so if we have 10 cal members (start/backup) we can pratice 5vs5. During pratice I will be giving instructions to everybody. We will pratice using pistols sub-machines etc... My instructions are expected to be followed or I will remove you from the team. All Cal members are expected to be there if you cannot make it please notify me on the forum or get in touch via steam. |

Im almost done with the webpage and will finish it tomarrow. If I forgot your name on the members list please tell me so I can quickly add you. I have both serverspy monitors up for our NS and CS server. Man I have been looking at code for so long I have a huge headache. Hopefully sleep will wear this off!
