This past year was definitely a year of mixed emotions. I had a lot of good days but also a few frightening ones along the way. An outlook of my past year:
January: Started off by me working and bowling with my entire family, it was actually pretty nice spending New Years Day with my family. Other than that it was like any other January, a fresh new start! My niece, Kalley Dawn, turned one and my youngest Nephew, Kameron Lee, turned 3.

In late January I went to Miami and naturally while I was there it was cold. I had a good time; as always it is nice to get away but even better to come home.
February: My refrigerator only worked about every other week so I thought it was time to get a new one. It keeps my butter, milk and water cold after all; that is about all I have in it considering I don’t cook, well not for just myself anyway.
I had my annual physical, I know you all really care about hearing about that, but the doctors found a lump in my breast, I was worried but I knew whatever came of it was just meant to be. Grant really helped me through this considering his mother had breast cancer.
March: I had plans of going to Mardi Gras but just like everything else… ummm stuff happens, so I didn’t make it. I was really looking forward to it and I thought it would be particularly cool to be there Mardi Gras 2000, but that’s ok, I am not too fond of hanging out with a bunch of drunks anyway!!
However March did end pretty good, I won $95 from picking teams for the March Mayhem at work (although I think I goofed on one and that is the only reason I won!) what is really humorous is I absolutely hate basketball. The next day I won $200 from a monopoly lottery ticket, I looked like such a dork screaming in the Gerbes west parking lot…. just ask my co-workers… ok I am sure that is not the only time I have looked like a dork!
The best thing this month and perhaps the rest of my life was that I found out that the lump was nothing to worry about, it was caused from caffeine, but I still need to be careful.
April: The best month always…BASEBALL SEASON STARTED!!! My first cards game was freezing cold!! We actually moved up to the nosebleed seats just to sit in the sun. We left a little early but we still WON… because after all the Cardinals are supreme!
That evening my brother, Eric, Got baptized with his three children Kaleb, Kameron, and Kalley. I have a lot of admiration for him and my aunt Kim, who got baptized in 1999.
I got selected for Jury Duty …AGAIN… I am so lucky!!! Well this time was Grand Jury, I had to serve for 6 months but after it was over I cannot be selected for Grand Jury again for ten years. Actually it was very fascinating I learned a lot (like fingerprints can’t be taken from canvas, or at least its not very easy…. this will come in handy when I am making my drug deals… I am just KIDDING for those of you who don’t know me very well!)
We also had a garage sale on Eric’s Birthday, we tried to sell him but no one wanted him because he was too old. He was 29-hehe!! Wait till next year, I am sure he will be using his cane! Heather and I worked so hard at the garage sale that we had to get massages at Riversong, the lady I had hurt me, I know that doesn’t seem possible but…OUCH!!
Mom won Cardinal tickets from KAT Country and a week later I won some. That same night I won mine, the St Louis Cardinals PR guy called me to tell me I won the “Southwest Airlines Family of the Game”, where you sit up in the southwest airlines box seat and after the 5th inning you are on the big screen in front of the entire stadium; you can either take 4 tickets to another game or pick a locker and win whatever is behind it! What a great week!
