The Floral Technicians Certificate Diploma program is intended for individuals interested in working in the Floral Industry. Successes in your chosen career as a commercial Floral Designer depends on a combination of artistic abilities a hands-on experience.  At the school of Floral Design, organized by the Hamilton School of  Careers, students are given plenty of opportunity to explore the artistic talent while learning the basics of retailing.

In this introductory, students will study the floral culture, names and cares of fresh flowers and the from the grower or the wholesaler truck, care of oasis shop management, telephone personality, sale and advertising, as well as cleaning and sanitation. Students will learn how to design with silk, fresh and exoctic flowers, in traditional, Victorian, Oriental, European and Modern designs for all occasions flower arrangements, baby novelties, wine and cheese baskets, moss wreaths, grapevine and Styrofoam wreaths, crafts, funeral tributes, case sprays, Nontraditional table pieces, standing sprays and special request pieces. Students will receive instuction in arm bouquet, flower for young attendants, arrangements for church and reception, corsages, boutonnieres, and body flower's, hair flower pieces, upright european bouquets and wedding presentation. Arranging with silk, fresh or Exotic flowers will fill a majority of the program. The second course segments will focus on "Selling a Wedding," "Fashions and Trends",  "Delivery",  "Set-up" and "Services". Retail Florist knows the importance of a good display that will attract customers into the store and encourages them into buying on impulse.  Students will learn the basic principal of visual merchandising and new ideas for displays. Classes will be small and applicants must have demonstrated aptitiude for the display work. Hamilton School of Careers is a Tax deductible program Students must supply glue gun, glue sticks, designer knives, scissors, wire cutter's, notebook, paper and pen.. Tuition fee for the full program $3550.00 for three level diplomas  in Floral, Exotic and Interior Designerand an additional cost for floral supplies which are $2000.00.
