Shopaholic Ties the Knot
by
Sophie Kinsella
Softcover, 352 pages, 2003 in USA
Rated 4/5

Synopsis:  The lastest entry in British author Kinsella's Shopaholic series finds Becky Bloomwood, of course, in a lot of trouble.  Luke, Becky's handsome and rich, boyfriend has proposed.  Now it's a whorlwind of shopping, registering lists and bridal gowns.  Not to mention her mother is planning a wedding in Britian and her future mother-in-law is planning one in the fabulous Plaza in New York City-both on the same day!

Why you should read this book:  If you enjoyed the first two and you like fluff reads, you'll love this one.  It's just as charming as the others, but not quite up to par with Bridget Jones.  If you like a book that is pure fun, and need a nice diversion from real life, which I definitely needed right now, this is the book for you!

Why you should avoid this book:  If you hate fluff, for one thing, avoid this book.  If you hate holes in the plot and contrived characters and just can't wrap your brain around airheaded women who can't be trusted with a credit card...avoid this book!

Opening Paragraph: OK. Don't panic.   The answer will come to me in a minute.  I just have to think hard about what marriage is all about.  It's about love, obviously.  And companionship, and mutual support.  And...soup?

Fabulous Quotes:  Forgot to write any down :)
