Hawk Tree CSP originated in the 1970's, with our basic love not being breed specific. If it had four legs, it had a purpose (usually on our couch or curled up with one of the kids!!!) We have been closely involved in conformation, obedience, and agility competition. Along with our children, we also have participated in search/rescue programs, community functions and parades.
When we aquired our first Shar Pei, we quickly learned that this was not a passing fancy, but a forever type of breed. With our kids turning into adults, we took to the breed as our next generation of children.
Nestled in our very rustic setting, our dogs have quickly become a large part of our family.
Update: May, 2006. Due to some health problems, we have decided to reduce our stock. As long as I am able, I will continue with a small breeding program. I may be producing just a couple of litters in the years to come, with my health providing. I will also provide stud services to serious inquries only. I am always eager to continue to speak with serious Shar Pei lovers with any/all questions or concerns, and would gladly point you towards a RESPONSIBLE, CARING breeder if you are considering a Chinese Shar Pei puppy.
I will continue to strive towards wonderful pet, breeder and show quality puppies, and will still be very selective in the placing of each one of them. They are, after all, one of the true joys of my life.
