Stable - The discs flight does not change much.
If the disc is thrown straight, it will fly straight.
Understable - Sometimes called Unstable.
The disc turns over in flight, going from left to right for a right handed
player (right to left for lefties).
Overstable - The disc falls back from right to
left for a right handed player (left to right for lefties). Most discs
tend to be overstable toward the end of their flight when the spin has
decreased.
Hyzer - A disc released with the edge farthest
from the hand below the hand.
Anhyzer - A disc released with the edge farthest
from the hand above the hand.
Notes -
A sidearm throw will result in the disc flying as if thrown by the
other hand ( A right handed player throwing a overstable disc side arm
will see the disc fall from left to right).
Most discs will tend to become less overstable or more understable
as they become worn or "beat up".
Heavier discs of the same mold will tend to be more overstable then
lighter ones.
Beginners should start with lighter understable discs.
