Well, let's just say it was "inspired by" the HOF. ;)

Our dear friend Ann (Queegqueg) came up with starting a "fanfic society with hugs all around" during a discussion on fanfic at "Rohan's X-Files Discussion Board." So we formed our own society, and then after a while, I recommended building a site and getting our name out there, and they liked the idea as well.

We call ourselves "Hugs All Around" because we feel we should not only get involved with the fanfic, but with the fanfic authors as well. So we start out with a virtual ::hug::. Besides, the name wasn't already taken and it was kinda cute and unique *lol*

Now to state the obvious, "HAA" is just a shortened version of "Hugs All Around".

Happy now? ;-)

This section of the site will feature the history of our site, some FAQ's, and other junk that couldn't fit anywhere else *lol*

The design of the index page was inspired by "Gertie's Shippers." It's *nothing* like the old one they had (it will never look that good), but we are happy with the outcome. ::thanx Gert!::

The design on the main page was inspired by both "Just Gilly" and "Gertie's Shippers," with a little personal twist to it. The navy blue is a favorite color, so we kind of replaced the turqouise/pink theme we had going on the last time with the blue....;)

The rest of the site just kind of sprang up somewhere along the line.

As often as a sane human being can! *lol* I wish I could say we're on 24/7 and have a decent update everyday, but alas, I can't. But we are on pretty much everyday maintaining the site, even if we don't have an update, and life will sometimes takes its toll, and maybe we can't update for a brief period of time (grr real life) but we do try our best. Personally, this site is like a child to me. I've seen it's birth, I've seen it grow, I've seen people gawk at and adore it, I've seen others cringe at the sight of it (LoL okay, that might not be the childs fault), but nonetheless, my love for this site increases with every passing day. 'Tis will be a heartbreaking time for me, if I ever have to close down this site...*sniff*

A fair amount of people, but there are those that aren't as into updating and maintaing this site as others are. . .but as of now, only 4 people are regularly active in updating the site, and contributing to it's growth, and I am eternally grateful to them.
