| Those 3 little letters, S-H-O, makes all the difference between the everyday family hauler Taurus and this Mustang suprising 4-door hot rod. This car had a 222 HP 4 cam, 24 valve Yamaha V6 mated to a Mazda 5-Speed. It could do 0-60 in 6.7 seconds with a top speed of 140 MPH. Power everything, leather, moonroof, JBL sound and plenty of shocked looks from pony car owners as they were eating my dust. I liked this car a lot. Of course until I ran into some bad electrical problems. I put over $1500 in sensors in one the first month. 8 months later I sold it, but I still would buy another 89 if I could find one in perfect shape. Fun car. |
