Sub-Mariner #35- Hulk vs. Thor V-

Or as it is also known as the pre-Defenders vs. the Avengers. Hulk was convinced to team up with Namor and Silver Surfer to destroy a machine that theatens the world. The Avengers are there to protect the machine because they do not realize the danger. They find the Avengers there. Namor wants to talk things over with the Avengers, but Hulk says that he is sick of that. Now while Hulk didn't physically knock out Thor in this issue I give the advantage to Hulk. He hits Thor so hard that Thor drops his hammer. If not for the clarion call that causes the Hulk to look away (and gives Thor the chance to get a cheap shot in on Hulk) Thor would have been without his hammer for more than a minute and turned into Donald Blake. An agreement is reached, but Hulk just views that as a betrayal on the part of Namor and Surfer and leaps away.
