BAND HISTORY:

HUMANSHELL

Humanshell was formed in the fall of "99", then known as Slugfest, by Darrell and Vic. Steve and Kelly joined soon after. The style of music is hardcore, but has some metal to old school hc influences. Humanshell's style is angry, hard, and different than most hardcore bands, with vocals ranging from singing to shouting. Rythms descend from a fast pace down to heavy grooves. Humanshell's live performance is as enthusiastic as the songs. Band influences range from Cro-mags, Inside Out, Breakdown, Killing Time,....I could go on.....and on....Shift, Inhuman, Sworn Enemy. There are a lot of bands out there. Humanshell isn't your regular hc band with its metal influences: Sabbeth, Kiss, Ratt :) blah , blah , blah , you get the idea. Most of the songs written were based on ideas from Vic and Darrell. Humanshell isn't out to prove anything...or... rule the world. Humanshell just wants to play out and have a good time for themselves and their fans. Humanshell is serious and devoted to its music. Styles change, new ideas are always introduced, but as long as there is a musical outlet, whether radio or tapes and cd's, Humanshell will keep on playing the music it enjoys.
