UNIT #6

Unit #6 is a 1995 Ford E350.  This unit was a Ryder moving van and the work to convert it to its present state was completed by our members.  A grant from the Lakeside Casino and Resort in Osceola, Iowa helped fund the purchase and conversion of this unit.

This Honda generator can power the lights that swing out of the back of the truck or be taken off of the truck and used to power saws, secondary lighting or other equipment.

We use this truck to haul various equipment that might be needed during any type of call.  Some examples of the equipment we have on this truck are: jaws of life, generator, rescue rope., saws, air bags, stokes basket, portable cascade system (used to refill air packs), positive pressure fan and cribbing that is used to stabilize vehicles that have been involved in a crash. This unit also carries extra Scott SCBAs.
