| This is Ms. Esther Engle, my husband's grandmother. She was born in 1909, in Lake Benton, Minnesota. Her father was a Lutheran minister. She was one of four children. She went to Luther High School, where she graduated in 1928. To read the rest of her story, click HERE. |

| Esther married Robert Metzger in 1935, they met in 1930. She was 23 when they got married on September 28th. They both became school teachers. Have two children, Louise and Bobby.Three grandsons, and now three great grandsons. Both retired from Trinity Lutheran School in Wyandotte. After retiring, Keith's grampa continued to work at a tool shop in Wyandotte till he was 75. |
