Camping with Lori
I remember camping since I was a little girl. It was fun. Sleeping in the camper, playing outside, going and seeing attractions, eating crazy food concoctions, and spending time with my grandparents. Usually, I got to bring a friend.

As a kid we always went to either a KOA or JellyStone Park campground. They are very kid oriented, with activities schedualed for every age group. One year at JellyStone Park they had X-mas in July for Yogi. We decorated the Ranger Station, and they had a contest for best decorated campsite. It was fun.

Here's a pic of my cousin and me that "X-mas"

Now that I'm an adult, with out children, I find that using our countries State Parks is the thing to do. They are cheap, clean, open all year, and pet friendly. And why not, we are paying for these places anyways through taxes. Might as well get some use outta them.

So far we have been to 6 State Parks in the state of Michigan.
South Higgins Lake, Roscommon
    Tahquamenon Falls, Paradise
            Sterling, Monroe
   North Higgins Lake, Roscommons
Seven Lakes, Fenton
Algonac, Algonac
WATCH OUT !!!!! Deer always have the right of way....

My husband and I first went camping 8 years ago. I wouldn't sleep in a tent, so we slept in the van. I told him if we got a camper I would go camping more. So a few years ago we went to the "Camper and RV show" they have at the Silverdome. We found a nice camper at a price we can afford, and now I go camping.

We honeymooned in our camper. We celebrate our anniversary's in the camper. Yes, I am a camper now.
Whatever..... LOL.

So stay tuned for the next adventures of 'Camping with Lori'
