| CARNO TREE CREATED BY: unknown, possibly GOLOBULUS 1ST APPEARANCE: G.I.JOE: THE MOVIE (DESTROYED) The CARNO TREE was a form of plantlife used as means of defense by the hidden civilization of COBRA-LA. A small group of trees was placed just on the other side of the natural bridge leading to the only known way in or out of COBRA-LA. The trees would lay their vines on the ground, any living thing that was not native to COBRA-LA that would step on the vines would be wrapped up and then lashed to the tree. The length of time a person can stay trapped wrapped around a tree is unknown. Several Joes including SNAKE-EYES, LADY JAYE, and SNOW-JOB were victims of the trees when they tried to break out of COBRA-LA. A short time later, almost the entire Joe team were trapped by the trees when they tried to invade COBRA-LA. A second group of invading Joes found a water route that could be used to get into COBRA-LA. This group then stole helicopters and made an attack run at the tree. The Joe BIG LOB managed to aim his burning chopper at the base of the trees and then bailed out. The chopper hit and the explosion released all of the trees captives.
