Litlle is known about the history of the woman named JINX. It is known that she studied under a blind ninja master who taught her a technique in which she can take down an opponent while blindfolded. This technique became her most powerful physical attack. She also at one point gained the reputation has being a bad luck charm. Even now she insists that everything usually turns out ok in the end. She has also shown great proficency in fixng and hotwiring vehicles. At one point she met and went out with LT FALCON. The two liked each other but neither could act out on their feelings.

JINX and FALCON both became part of the Joe trainee group called the Rawhides. FALCON showed his trademark disregard for authority and would go awol several times. One time, he ducked out of a practice fight with JINX. JINX then had to fight BEACH-HEAD. The Joe attacked her and sweeped her onto the floor. As he walked away and poked fun at her fighting skills, JINX challenged him to rematch and used her blinfold technique. She knocked down in seconds.

She found FALCON being yelled out by DUKE for bringing a civilian named Heather into the base. She escorted Heather out and got mad when she took potshots at her. Later, FALCON walked away from his duties guarding the entrance to the stockade to visit JINX. She gave him the cold shoulder. FALCON tried talking to her while meanwhile the DREADNOKS freed SERPENTOR and injured three men. JINX and FALCON arrived just in time for HAWK to order FALCON arrested. At FALCON'S court martial hearing, JINX stood up for DUKE'S decision to reveal his relationship to FALCON.

JINX hotwired a Tomahawk to enable the Rawhides to join in the battle to defend the BET. She tried to help DUKE rescue FALCON from SERPENTOR but was cut off by an explosion. When DUKE was seriously injured, she stood by FALCON'S side and comforted him.

After most of the Joe team was captured entering COBRA-LA, JINX was part of the team that snuck in and freed them. She was one of only four Joes to make it to the palace. There she fought with PYTHONA. During the battle, JINX was disarmed and she switched to blindfold technique. She was able to hold her own against PYTHONA and was finally able to trick her into falling down a deep hole to her doom. JINX then cheered FALCON on as he fought off GOLOBULUS and overloaded the BET to destroy the spores. She and SERGEANT SLAUGHTER then saved FALCON form the blast. In the aftermath, she and FALCON watched the last of the spores burn up in orbit.
