PART TWO: May 7, 1990

Stepfanie Kramer's final episode. Hunter and McCall are investigating a man who preys on medal winners. In the middle of their investigation, a man turning out to be an old flame of McCall's comes to the station to surprise her. Turns out he was in town on business and he wanted to see her before he left. They spent time together and he told her about all his adventures, including a research grant he was awarded in London. They spent all their free time together and before they knew it, they were in love again.

Alex comes to see Dee Dee at the station one night. He proposes marriage and she accepts. She waits a couple of days to break the news to Hunter. When she tells him, he has mixed emotions. He goes to Alex's hotel room and yells at him, saying he was too overbearing on McCall. But, for her sake, he goes back the next night and apologizes. He then goes to the station and finds McCall all alone, looking out Captain Devane's office window. Being all alone in the office, they take this opportunity to say their goodbyes to each other. "We're too good friends to say goodbye", says Hunter. "It just makes me feel good to know that you've found someone you want to share your life with". They talk a little more and McCall statrts to leave. As she walks out the doorway, she stops, slowly turns around and walks into Hunter's arms. The two stand there and share a long, motionless hug. McCall leaves and the scene fades out with Hunter standing silently in the doorway.

Alex and Dee Dee are married in a beautiful ceremony. The new Dr. and Mrs. Alex Turnan exit the church and as they get into their limo, Dee Dee stops to throw her bridal bouquet. She turns around, tosses it over her head and it is caught by Hunter. The final scene is a split screen of Hunter standing there, holding the bouquet and Dee Dee looking back at him, smiling.
