Whether they had a big part or not, I'm adding them! Some sites just do the MAIN characters, but not Becci and Rona's! We're gonna be awkward and do 'em all! ^.^ And yes, Rona had no say in this!! *evil laugh*

God, this is why I personally love Escaflowne! Be honest, how many animes have you seen with a GIRL as the main character? Not many, I can asure you!
At first when Hitomi arrives in Gaea, she is confused through her feeling's. She is in love with Van, but just doesn't know it and it looks like she's in love with Alan nearly all the way through the seris. She's into athletics and is in the First year of high School and always seems to be running. Her greatest irritant is Meryl and just from the start, didn't get along with her.

Stubborn, fearless and Reckless are just a few words to discribe Van. He is the son of the former King Goau and Queen Varie, who was a member of a race called the Ryujinbito (Dragon-god people) and Van himself is half Ryujinbito and and can sprout wings. Sadly, his parents died when he was about 5. Van doesn't want to get close to many people because of this because of the fear, he might lose them. He keeps himself to himself, and when he has a problem, he keeps it bottled up. Van is the pilot of the gaimelf, Escaflowne.

He is knight of the kingdom Of Asturia and is the pilot of the gaimelf, Scherazade. Alans father left when he was very young, his younger sister Serena went missing when he was about 11 and his mother died soon after Serena's disappearance. He always seems to be a bit of a flirt, with everything female! But he's a complete and utter gentleman. He always thinks before he acts and is very honourable and loyal to his kingdom. Alan does not relise that Princess Millerna is in love with him, which, is pretty obvious!!

Merle, an annoying 13 year old little cat girl, is seriously way over protective over Van. You Always hear her saying "Lord Van, Lord Van" all the way through the seris. But this is because, Merle is an Orphan, and has no family of her own. The only family she has ever known, was Van's family, so she is protective over Van since everyone in Vans family either died, or went missing. Merle is always fighting with Hitomi because Van gives Hitomi so much attention. This is why she always seems so, attention seeking!!
