So what's with this Fairiefire moniker
anyhow? I have a thing for fairies. There was a time I was touring a new
age church as a child and was shown the "fairy garden" by the other church
member children. They swore they saw fairies in the garden sometimes. I
think maybe they were drinking the Kool-Aid, but maybe not. So fairies, to
me, represent a sense of wonder and belief in things that may or may not
exist. As a child adamantly believing in fairies in a meditation garden. Thus the tattoo on my thigh of the fairy breaking free of the ivy bonds around her wrists and ankles is symbolic of the process of becoming.
Also, I used to play AD&D years back (2nd edition) and there's a magic spell
called Faeriefire wherein your enemies are sprinkled with the dust and
magically highlighted making them easier to hit. I used to cast is so often
on my party at one point, that I got the unofficial nickname each time we
played, and at least each time it was my turn. So there you have it.
Thanks to G for most of these
