This spring, Sejong center in Chongno-gu, Seoul presents   " starry night festival" from 7th of May to 1st of June(every night 20:00~21:00).                      No performance on Sat and public holiday/ cancellation in case of rain. From traditional Korean percussion to Peru music , you can enjoy a wide variety of joyful performances, right here in Seoul~~.

In addition to this, The Sejong Center provides a special performance once a month for 1,000 won as a way to widen people's chances to enjoy more culture programs. The "happy program with 1,000 won" will allow people to enjoy the musical performances of nine art groups and famous musicians for about a dollar. The center plans to donate the proceeds to charity. The center is planning a musical gala summer concert and rock, jazz and Korean traditional percussion for the fall. In winter, a modern jazz band and modern ballet troupe will heat up the stage.

Another one of the most representative performance theater in Korea, the National Theater of Korea also has National Theater 2007 < Saturday Cultural Plaza > on every Saturday at 6:00pm (canceled in case of rain) throughout 2007-05-05 ~ 2007-07-07. The National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts also enriches your cultural experience by providing "Mt. Umyeon green festival". From May to Oct, every first Sunday, it helds traditional Korean dancing and music performances at Byeolmajite, under the star. This the nature-friendly outdoor  theater of the NCKTPA can

If you want to enjoy all these in more unique traditional atmosphere, the Namsangol Hanok Village (traditional Korean house village, think of it as small version of Korean folk village in Yongin) should be your choice. "Programs of Elegant Taste at 'Sul Hours' (the 11th of the 12 hourly periods of a day)" are provided at the traditional houses placed here and there in Namsangol Hanok Village. From 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., visitors may enjoy performances of traditional music and teas, and listen to explanations of traditional musical instruments and how to play them. Moreover, At Cheonugak Plaza for an hour from 7 p.m., visitors can enjoy traditional dance and "Samulnori" (traditional percussion quartet) performances.

Now, if you are bit tired of all these performances and all, how about going for a movie? Films will be shown at the auditorium of the Tourist Information Center at 2 pm and 4pm on the 4th Sunday of every month. and here's another place for a free movie, but no english subtitles. At 7pm, Every Friday, movies will be shown here at Gangnam youth center. For example, On 25th of May. You can see the Hollywood movie "Romantic Holiday".

And if you are not satisfied w/ a free movie alone, you might want to visit Oh! Zemidong. One the most advanced and highly recommendable cultural venues, Oh! Zemidong, is located inside the Chungmuro subway station on Line 4.  "Oh! Zemidong" means 'five fun neighborhoods'.

Zemi-dong 1 is a library storing a wide selection of books, domestic and foreign magazines (with plenty of English magazines), periodicals in the fields of culture, arts, design, films and more. Zemi-dong 2 is a video room offering presentations of DVD titles not easily found in ordinary theaters and video rental shops, including feature and short films, animations, documentaries and recently released music videos among many others Though there is a suggested donation fee, admission is free. Furnished with digital film editing facilities, Zemi-dong 3 offers seven Compaq Workstations equipped with Adobe Premiere and Photoshop. Because of the low fees, Zemi-dong 3 is usually jam-packed with users. Reservations are highly recommended. You can book a computer for their website. 1,000 won per hour! Zemi-dong 4 is a mini-theater that can accommodate up to 50 people at once. It offers regular and special screenings under unusual and unique themes. Finally, there is an open space, Zemi-dong 5 with comfortable doughnut-shaped seats and large screen PDPs. Photo, cartoon, media arts and short film exhibitions will be held in this space. Only registered members are eligible to use the facilities of Oh! Zemidong. You can sign-up for a membership card at the Oh! Zemidong office. Now, finally the last. You know that there is Yangjaecheon stream near the house, right? Every firday, from 7:30 to 10pm, you can hear the 4 amateur saxophone players. This is more local thing, compare to those big festivals held by big organization, but still quite popular among the local. So,if you want to make a friend with the local, this might be the place you want to visit.
