Requiem for a Dream |
this movie was amazing i dont know about you, but it really makes you think twice about doing drugs - even perscription drugs - for a long time huh? i thought that every scene with ellen burstyn in it was just wonderful the whole thing about her hiding in the closet from the fridge, it was really...just good and towards the end when the "juice" guy comes into her house via the TV, along with the movie-star version of herself, and there is the entire line of dancers and everyone going around her "real" self, who is sitting in the chair just absolutely going crazy in front of our eyes...that just really showed me the good acting job that she was doing some of the parts were so real that they were really sad, like when ellen's character gets so excited when she is on the diet, losing weight, because she "was a somebody" to the other people in the neighborhood that was a powerful scene and the whole "sex" scene toward the very end, seeing what that girl was going through just to get a little extra money/drugs...it was hard to even look at the screen, but it just really worked in the movie overall, it was just a brilliant movie, with a good story and even better acting i think everyone should see this movie oh yeah, a lot of times it says "edited version" in the title...what does this mean? anyone know? as far as i could tell, nothing was edited out (i.e., the "sex" scene(s) were still in it, the bloody scenes, the drug using, etc...) i dont know |
