Yoga is an amazingly effective means of releasing stress, improving our health and helping us to achieve our full potential in life. In I Am Yoga we use the tools of Yoga, especially postures, breathing practices, meditation and self observation, to enhance physical health and fitness, release stress, tension and mental disturbance and, if we want, to explore ourselves.

You are welcome to come to Yoga classes no matter how inflexible or unfit your body is and whether you are a beginner or quite experienced. In fact, anyone who can breathe can practise Yoga! The teacher will show you how to adapt the poses and breathing practices to suit your capabilities and needs. You will not be forced to do something your body is not ready for. At the same time, the teacher will ensure that there is a manageable degree of challenge for you, so that your body increases in strength and flexibility and your mind is engaged.

In the classes you will learn to link body, mind and breath through a process of easy focus on the breath as you perform unstrained movements, always working within your capacity. As you practise in this way, accumulated tension and stress dissolve and your body becomes healthier, stronger and more flexible. Classes will leave you feeling energised and deeply relaxed. Your "comfort zone" will expand and this will flow out into your life.
