I got to the Showplace around 4:30 and waited in line for like 2 hours by myself in the rain. It was cold. So we were all let in and I got right up in front. Armor For Sleep played first. They were so amazing! They have PJ and Nash from Prevent Falls playing with them now. The next band was This Day And Age I believe? I don't know. They were pretty good. I think they are local? Maybe? Yea. Well, here comes the good part: Taking Back Sunday was next!
Amazing again. They get better and better everytime. When they were setting up, Adam bent over in front of us and you could totally see his crack. Well, they started and Adam was playing Johns guitar and they played a little bit of "Your Own Disaster" and went into "Bike Scene" and Adam gave the guitar back. It was so amazing. I don't know, they were just simply amazing. I don't remember any order but they also played "You're So Last Summer" "You Know How I Do" "The Ballad Of Sal Villanueva" "Cute Without The 'E' (Cut From The Team)" "Ghost Man On Third" "Great Romances Of The 20th Century" and "Timberwolves At New Jersey". Adam dived into the crowd and it's so awesome how he involves the entire crowd when they petform. Mark had fractured his ankle so I think he was having a hard time playing. I don't know what happened but he has one crutch. He drank some Jack Daniels and I guess he felt better. It's awesome how dedicated these guys are. They just keep going. Then they finished with "There's No 'I' In Team" which was amazing and John just falls on the ground at the end screaming. Adam was on the ground a lot. He was on the ground, like our level, on the cement, singing and talking. It was just amazing.
Recover was next. I left to go in the back. I bought a TBS sticker and pin with the one dollar I had left. I just kinda stood in the back while Recover played. Then Midtown set up. I was watching Shaun from TBS have a hell of a hard time trying to get upstairs. I guess he couldn't figure out the password cause he kept trying and walking back and forth. Haha, it was funny.
So Midtown started playing and they were actually pretty good. I was suprised...def a live band...not a cd band. The bad news will start soon...Okay, so they were playing and Adam is with them. He is singing along, dancing, making everyone clap and whatnot and just having a good time. Then they bring some kid on stage to have a dance contest or something against Adam and his moves were...hot! Haha...So I think it was "Let Go" and Adam goes to the edge of the stage and I don't know what happened but he fell off the stage. It was so unexpected and a lot of us thought he was gonna jump into the crowd. It was so effin scary. I felt so bad for him. He wasn't getting up so Midtown stopped playing and nobody knew if Adam was okay or not. His head was bleeding and they had to find clean towels and later Ed said he split his head open. He must've hit the barricade on his way down. I was really scared. Then Gabe started saying stuff like Adam is having a really hard time at home but how music helps us all through all the hard times that we have or something like that. I totally agree though.
So then Midtown finished playing and it was cool but the entire time I was worried about Adam. I really hope he will be fine and well.
