Jo Dee Fulfills "Dreams" At Fan Fair
Jo Dee kicked off Fan Fair Wednesday, June 12th, with the unveiling of NASCAR driver Bobby Hamilton's new ride, Jo Dee's Inside Traxx car. For the special event, she performed "Dare To Dream" and took time out for pictures with other Inside Traxx stars, Neal McCoy, Trini Triggs and NASCAR driver Jeff Green.
On Friday, June 14th, members of the Jo Dee Messina Fan Club filled the auditorium of Nashville's National Guard Armory for the 2002 Fan Club Party. Treated to a buffet lunch of chicken, roast beef, lasagna, vegetables, rolls and more, fans satisfied their hunger before Jo Dee took the stage.
The band members took their places, and Jo Dee was welcomed with applause and cheers from the anxious audience. The show included everything from upcoming singles (one of which was "Hero," a song Jo Dee wrote about a close friend), to a question and answer session, to lots of laughs and surprises. The first surprise was on Jo Dee's mom, Mary, who is also her fan club president. She was presented a bouquet of roses and a plaque from the fans to show their appreciation for all she does. Another special surprise was for the charter members of the fan club. A gift was given to each member as a "thank you" for being there from the very beginning.
After the show, Jo Dee took time to meet with each and every fan club member in attendance, and while waiting for their chance to meet with Jo Dee, fans were treated with balloon creations and face painting. Even Jo Dee's brother, Vinny, couldn't resist a balloon creation for himself!
She wrapped up Fan Fair with visits to her booth and a performance at the Adelphia Coliseum, which made the night a little hotter! If you missed the fun this year, make plans to be there in 2003!
