Bottle Rocket
Live

Yes, okay, it's another rock group. Well I like rock and ska and stuff, so that's what I listen to a lot of. Though I only heard of these through a friend. I didn't think I'd like them, but I do. Anyway, apparantly they originated as a metal band. However, they moved from that into contemporary rock. I've only heard one of their CDs, and that's them as a rock band.

Coffee Can sound

I don't know what I was expecting when I first listened to this CD, but it definitely exceeded my expectations. I think I expected some sort of out of date Christian metal. It wasn't that at all. One of my friends had had the CD for ages and she leant it to me. I put it on and immediately liked the sound. Then I was disappointed because it turned out the intro was much better than the song. I continued listening to the CD and it got to Coffee Can and I loved it. I loved the fact that it mentioned Pez, but mostly I just loved the tune. To be honest I'm not entirely sure what some of it was going on about and I didn't have a clue who Juan Valdez was until I searched at google (he's the fictional character advertising columbian coffee). I don't love all of the songs as much as coffee can, but the more I listen to the CD the more I like it. The songs vary a great deal too, there's slower ones as well as the fast ones.

I now own this, my first Guardian CD, I found it in the bargain bin for £3.99, yay. It's very good. It has the best songs off "Bottle Rocket" on it. I'm not sure if it's worth having if you already have Bottle Rocket. It does have 5 songs that aren't on Bottle Rocket though and they are good, though not as good as "Coffee Can". The fac that it's live means that you get some added comments, which is quite good. It's good loud rock music. I like it. The annoying thing about the CD is that there aren't any lyrics in it. Drat. I think all CDs should have the words with them.
