The Seed
What did You see in me? Why did You care? To soften my heart, and plant Your seed there? I'm not much a gardener, no experience with soil. Yet, I find myself now in bended-knee toil. The seed that You've planted, I want it to grow, I uproot the thorns and throw out the stones. I'm thankful that You've chosen me, to trust with the care of this precious seed.

Beyond the Gloom
Are you tired of life, and can't find your place? Are you tired of trying to keep up with the pace? Are you tired of others letting you down, and there is no room left in your face for a smile? Remember then the reason you've been given life's breath. Hold on to this hope when nothing seems left. Though weary and tired from cares and strife, God has a purpose for you in this life. If you abide in Him, you'll find your place. You'll see beyond the maddening pace. No truer friend could there ever be, when your ship is stranded on life's ruthless sea.

Stay Near
Don't part from me now, I'm just a man. When weakness prevails, still hold my hand. Don't part from me now, without You its dim. My battle gets stronger, I've no hope to win. Don't part from me now, please stay by my side. For You are my comfort, my friend and my guide.

He came to me
He came to me in tattered jeans. He came to me and shared his dreams. He came to me and opened his heart. He came to me, he needed a start. What could I give him? What could I say? Why was he trusting me this way? I choked back tears, I choked back fright. I told him of God that hot summer night. Of how HE would lead him, of how HE would care, Of how HE would love him and always be there. He smiled at me then and nodded his head. He thanked me for all the words I'd said. He came to me later. He'd taken the stand, to follow God and take His outstretched hand. I knew at that moment that I'd done my best, for my heart was light and my soul had rest.

Only God is Constant
Only God is constant. His thoughts never stray, when we talk to Him and have much to say. His hands never waver holding us up. His eyes never weary watching over us. His love never fails, His mercy renews. His feet never stumble to carry us thru. His storehouse stays open, our hearts to feed. His ears never close to our desperate pleas. only God is constant!!

My Image
I thought I was climbing only to fall. The valley seemed deep, the mountain so tall. I thought I was sailing, only to sink. The ocean seemed choppy, the sky wasn't pink. I thought to take strides all alone, and claim the victory on my own. But the struggle was vain without God's direction. In the mirror of pride, I saw my reflection.
