	I recieved my training from The International Association of Counselors and Therapist (IACT), in November 1993. Let me tell you what lead up to my becoming a certified hypnotherapist. I have had life threatening allergies for most of my life. I have had 2 near death experiences and was told by my doctors that they were sorry but unless I was dying there was nothing they could do for me because they had tried everything to help. So with that in mind I realized that I had to take my own health into my hands. So I got a book on hypnosis, and did all the exercises in it for 6 months. Every day for 6 months I entered into a deep hypnotic trance and believed that I was failing miserably. I also was trying to pass a test for the Virgina Real Estate Board. I had taken the test 3 times and failed by 3 questions every time. I needed help for a photographic memory so I could pass the test. I was told by many that the test was harder than passing the bar for lawyers! I had to pass this test so I gave in and looked for a certified hypnotherapist to help me over my hump. I looked in the yellow pages and talked to a couple of people. I finally called a woman and I immediately connected with her understanding & knowledgability in her field. So in I went and told her about what I had been doing. She told me that I had indeed already achieved the state of hypnosis, which was focused relaxed attention. In essence I had hypnotised myself into believing that I was not hypnotised! I thought you couldn't hear, or feel, or remember what happened during the trance and since I did hear, in fact it was heightened, and feel and remember that my mind would not accept the post hypnotic suggestions! I felt so relieved. She told me about the place she had recieved her training from. Inspired and wanting to learn more for my own benefit I became certified. I believe that people should be empowered and use my knowledge to achieve that end. I also charge $50 per session or trade and have payment plans.  I cannot refuse love donations.
