Ian and Debbie's home church is Vision Christian Fellowship in Fyshwick.
If not in conflict or travelling Ian does take the opportunity at times (outside of performances) to attend other churches - which he feels helps to keep him open to other views
Main outreach activities are:
- any possibility where music can promote conversation and opportunities to
share the Gospel of Jesus Christ
- Board member of Unity College Australia
- projects such as the Restoration CD, Kairos Outside fundraising night, etc
- working with Christian organisations and groups to help them with public relations, marketing and fund raising opportunities
- until recently support and team involvement with the Kairos prison ministries
Some of Ians Christian performance/music activity includes:
From a boy as a lead soprano in St Paul's Catherdral choir in Melbourne Ian has had many opportunities to be involved with music in the Christian environment.
- worship team member (vocals and guitar)
- conference/dinner entertainment at Christian retreats in NSW & ACT
- helping worship teams and vocal groups with All Souls Anglican and Seventh Day
Adventist Churches in 2006
- speaker and singer at Kairos Community functions and dinners
- organiser, MC & occasional performer for Kairos fundraising concerts 2003-2007
- part of choir for Anglicare Prom Praise - Sydney 2002 & 2003
- multiple performer at National Gospel Happening - ACT 2003, 2004 & 2005
- Ian also delivers messages of word and song that can be themed relevant to
service or based on personal testimony at various churches/outreach events
Songwriting
His return to Christianity a few years ago, seemed to create a very directed writing desire and his writing reflects the path of this journey. The songs encompass a variety of styles from country, blues and rock to ballads and jazz.
During the first half of 2003 Ian finished recording his first CD of those original Christian songs with a group of great musicians and singers, titled "Walking in Sunshine". Besides some reasonable air play on a number of Christian radio stations - one of the songs, "Jesus You're the One" was selected in the finals of the National Gospel Songwriting Competition in 2003 and another 'Reformation Blues' placed 3rd in the Jashar Song Contest through Rhema Dubbo in July 2004.

Ian is constantly finding inspiration and ideas for new songs and a second CD of his faith based songwriting is planned for late in 2008.
