Thought:
Adam and Eve had a perfect marriage. He didn't have to hear about all the men she could have married and she didn't have to hear about the way his mother cooked.

"I WISH FOR YOU"
"I wish for you..... Comfort on difficult days, Smiles when sadness intrudes, Rainbows to follow the clouds, Laughter to kiss your lips, Sunsets to warm your heart, Gentle hugs when spirits sag, Friendship to brighten your being, Beauty for your eyes to see, Faith so that you can believe, Courage to know yourself, Patience to accept the truth, And love to complete your life."

Homesteading Long ago, I settled on this piece of mind, clearing a spot for memory, making a road so that the future could come and go, building a house of possibility
I came across the prairie with only' my wagonload of words, fragile stories packed with sawdust. I had to learn how to press a thought like seed into the ground;
I had to learn to speak with a hammer, I took up the reins behind the plow, I felt the land, threading through me, stitching me into place. |

Yesterday
Yesterday I picked a dandelion For your buttomhole I chose it for its primary color And becuse it is a humble, hardy weed. But you had no bottonhole So you carried it for an hour Sniffing it now and then (its scent is yellow) Until we had to go home And you found a hospitable bush To place it on.
Today I snapped a sprig of lilac For your buttonhole I chose it for its delicate tint And because of its exquisite grace. But you had no buttonhole So you carried it for an hour Sniffing it now and then (its perfume is intoxicating) Until we had to go home And since it had wilted You dropped it on the ground.
Tomorrow I will give you A bright green inedible fruit And see what you do with it. ~~~~~~~~~~ |
