                                                            DONATIONS

The Ibeku welcomes monetary donations, as well as donations of tangible books, maps and other relevant property items. If you are interested in donating items to our collection to be  housed in the  Library and Archives, please contact us here.

Your membership  and purchase of educational materials  helps us continue in the national role as Keepers of the heritage.
There are many other ways to give to Ibeku, through gifts of Life Insurance, Appreciated Securities, Bequests and Charitable Trusts.

The Ibeku [INA]  is a non-profit organization with a 501(c) 3 designation and, as such, donations  are tax-deductible.  Contact your tax advisor for further details about charitable donations.

To ensure that ibeku fulfills its mission to strengthen public understanding of the contributions made to Ibeku by well wishers, we invite you to join our family of supporters by giving in any of the following ways.
Donations to the Annual Campaign                                 ibekugraphics

Ibeku gratefully acknowledges the individuals and corporations that make and will annual financial contributions. Donations of unrestricted funds to our annual operating fund are tax-deductible as allowable by law.

Gifts of cash or cash equivalent to our annual campaign are welcome. Please  send a check, made payable to the Ibeku Heritage Foundation, Austin Texas, Attn: Development.

Memorials and Tributes:
Make your gift special by donating in tribute to or in memory of a friend or loved one.

Become a member of this leadership giving society by pledging annual support at any financial level

Gifts of appreciated securities (stocks, bonds, or mutual funds held for more than one year) may be most economical. You can transfer securities in two ways:
 1) your broker may electronically transfer ownership or the security to Ibeku; or
 2) you may deliver your certificates directly to Ibeku.

Support for Special Projects and Funds
Many of our friends choose to support Ibeku  through a restricted gift by designating their support for a particular project, fund, or fellowship. Examples of projects and funds that supporters have contributed to include:

The Library Fund  • The Oral History Project • Ibeku Heritage.
Ibeku Newsmagazine  • and many more

Planned Gifts
Planned giving is any kind of charitable estate planning that provides benefits to you, and others you name, during your lifetime and then provides a future gift to Ibeku.

Wills
One of the easiest ways to provide future support for ibeku is to include the organization in your will. Outright bequests to ibeku are fully deductible for federal estate tax purposes. In most states, they are also exempt from inheritance tax.

Deferred Payment Gift Unitrusts
A deferred payment gift unitrust offers you the opportunity to claim a charitable tax deduction on your income taxes in the year of your gift, with the payments beginning at a designated future time. The longer the deferral, the higher the deduction allowed.
Charitable Remainder Unitrusts
A charitable remainder unitrust involves a transfer of appreciated assets to a separately managed trust that provides you or a beneficiary or beneficiaries with an annual payment for life or for a specific period of time. At the end of that time, the trust passes to the heitage.
Charitable Lead Trusts
A charitable lead trust allows you to preserve a large portion of your estate and pass assets tax-free to yourself or to your heirs. The trust holds an income producing asset for a fixed term, or your lifetime, during which time income is paid to ibeku. At the conclusion of the trust term, the asset is returned to you or designated beneficiary.

Retirement Plans and Life Insurance
Ibeku as a beneficiary of all or a specified portion of your 401K or other retirement plan assets can save

Designatinge your estate both income and federal taxes. You may also designate ibeku as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy.
