A columnist resigned from her job after invoking an international outrage.
Malu Fernandez, columnist at the Manila Standard Today and People Asia magazine filed her resignation to both publications last August 23, 2007.
Her People Asia magazine article “From Boracay to Greece” and a subsequent article at the Manila Standard Today caused rage to millions of Filipinos both here and abroad because of her remarks and descriptions towards the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).
