| Who ever would have thought that what started out as bones lashed to the bottom of boots for transportation would eventually become a way of life for some people.  I started all of this crazyness in 1978, after going to the Ice Capades.  I told my folks that I thought that I could do that [skate], so they gave me lessons for Christmas.  I was quite fortunate that my first coaches were so very good.  My coaches included Olympic Ice Dancing  Medalists, National and World Singles and Pairs Competitors, and Show Skaters.  I touch on all points of the sport.  I still do shows, as the opportunities present themselves.  I teach group and private lessons, and I still compete, from time to time. |
