My Testimony

I want to share with you my feelings and testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Many years ago, when I was introduced to the Church, I prayed and received the answer I had been waiting for. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only church on the earth today that is the "true" church. By that I mean that Jesus Christ himself organized this Church and through Joseph Smith, a prophet of God, was able to bring it to the earth today.
I truly believe that Joseph Smith was called of God to translate the Book of Mormon and to bring the fullness of the Gospel to man on the earth today. The Church is led by a true prophet today, Gordon B. Hinckley. He was preceded in this calling by many other righteous men.
I pray that as you read this testimony, you will feel a spirit such as you have never felt before and will feel the desire to learn more as I have. The blessings I have received by being a member of this Church are too many to tell about here. If you want to know more, you can email me. Or you can go to the official web site of
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Many of your questions can be answered there. This is my testimony to any who will read it. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, AMEN.

I want to share a story with you about F.R.O.G.s.  When we were living in Georgia there was a sister missionary there in our ward.  She bore her testimony one day telling us that when she was little her dad told her two things.  One was always remember you're a Baker.  The second was F.R.O.G.  This stood for Faithful Reliance On God.  There is so much more to this story but it touched me so much that I have never looked at a frog the same ever since.  That is why I chose this theme for this page.

The Articles Of Faith of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

ccfrogicon1.gif We believe in God the Eternal Father and in His Son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost.

ccfrogicon2.gif We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.

ccfrogicon1.gif We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.

ccfrogicon2.gif We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.

ccfrogicon1.gif We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.

ccfrogicon2.gif We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.

ccfrogicon1.gif We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.

ccfrogicon2.gif We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.

ccfrogicon1.gif We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that he will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

ccfrogicon2.gif We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reigh personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.

ccfrogicon1.gif We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.

ccfrogicon2.gif We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.

ccfrogicon1.gif We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say we follow the admonition of Paul-We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Can you imagine what our pioneers of old had to go through so that we would have a peaceful place to live? I was so touched by the words to this song when I heard them that I wanted to share them everyone that I could. Please take note of the copyright notice after the words.

A marvelous work has begun to come forth among all the children of men.
O ye that embark in the service of God, give heart, mind, and strength unto him;
For prophets have spoken and angels have come to lift the world from sin,
That Christ may reigh over all the earth and bless his gathered kin.

CHORUS
With faith in every footstep, we follow Christ, the Lord;
And filled with hope through his pure love, we sing with one accord.

Those marvelous Saints who embraced this great work and shared it in lands far and near;
Who gave all their heart, mind, and strength to the Lord with wisdom and vision so clear;
Now stand as examples of virtue and faith, of souls prepared to hear,
Of knowledge sure, born of humble heart, and love that banished fear.

If we now desire to assist in this work and thrust in our sickle with might,
If we will embark in the service of God to harvest in fields that are white;
Our souls may receive the salvation of God-the fulness of His light,
That we may stand, free of sin and blame, God's glory in our sight.
