| groovemeister....so far. always a record collector, in the early days, from ska, to 70's and 80's punk, it was this passion for alternative music that lead me toward the early dance music of the 80's and beyond. It was 1990, my first turntables were tt 3000 Numarks, they were heavy so i learnt how to scratch early, which lead me to the fusion of all forms of jazz, which i believe gave depth to my other genres such as drum and bass tech step and minimal techno . I was taught initially by good friend Jamie( shaken but not stirred) Bond, ( yes he does have a son named ..Bond..James Bond..no shit) in Coffs Harbour, an unforgiving town, a town I am still trying to tame. I did my first party with Jamie in the Coffs scout hall, a classic hiphouse party, called INFINITY, we spent bugger all on effects, but the music...went off. |
| past projects 1993 adelie cafe Coffs Hbr. "oasis on the mid north coast" was how it was described. Funky interior, lounged out dining, two turntables, ecclectic nachos addicted dj's and friends. In a nutshell, this place was ahead of it's time, even by city standards the uniquity of adelie, was the allhours dining by while djs jammed with jazz musicians, funky acid jazz beats and grooves would fill the cafe, giving a contented vibe, then of course, when every one else was closed, private parties abound. |

| i have been behind the decks for a long time, i have done various nite clubs and organised large events, dejaying in Queensland, as well as Byron Coffs and over the last few years, in Sydney, at venues such as the peppermint lounge. my style is varied, what makes the people dance, is what i like. i have been acquiring guest spots at Coffs Harbour Venues in recent times, Sven had a great Party on Sept. 7, no advertising, @ 300 people, with no hassles, 5 DJs. gigs. Undercurrents is my next gig with DJ Paresis on 15th December iin Sydney. |
